History

Kauri New Zealand Limited is a privately owned New Zealand company based in Wellington. We have a strong link with the past, tracing our origins to the early days of New Zealand and Australian business development:

  • 1870’s Kauri formed.
  • 1888 Kauri Timber Co. publicly listed on the Melbourne stock exchange.
  • 1971 Kauri purchased by the East Asiatic Co. Ltd. (EAC) of Denmark.

In the early 1990's Tom Whitefield and David Hunt developed and refocused the company as a specialist supplier of products to the food, beverage, wine and manufacturing industries of Australasia.

Kauri New Zealand has offices and warehouses throughout Australia and New Zealand including Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
